Experience
For the past few years, I've worked as a tutor at University of the Arts, where I also graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. As a tutor, I helped my fellow college students with classes from writing to dance. Despite my degree in dance, writing is one of my favorite classes to teach. I take great joy in helping my students let go of their dread when it comes to writing essays. In my teaching experience, I've found that each student learns in a different way and at a different pace, so tutoring should be a safe place and a conducive environment for individualized learning and growth. I am glad to offer my students help in creative writing, expository writing, fiction writing, persuasive writing, essay editing, college essays, IB Dance HL, IB Dance SL, art, English, and general study skills and organization. Moving forward with my own education, I'll soon begin a graduate program in creative fiction writing. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, dancing, watching movies, hanging out with my friends, and writing and publishing a young adult fantasy series in my spare time.
